Celebrate the Lunar New Year With This Mulan-Inspired Online Event
Coming your way next weekend, The Walt Disney Family Museum is holding a special Lunar New Year book reading that the whole family is sure to love with a focus on Disney’s Mulan!
This Virtual Storytime of Mulan’s Lunar New Year will feature the author Natasha Yim. During this special Zoom presentation, your family can learn about Mulan’s family Lunar New Year traditions as well as the history behind this festive celebration!
The event will take place online at 11 am next Saturday (February 13th) beginning at 11 am PST. It is FREE to attend but you do need to register ahead of time for the Zoom call. (We’ll provide you with the link below!)
The blurb for the story is as follows:
“Read along with Disney! It’s the Lunar New Year, which just happens to be Mulan’s favorite festival! There is a lot to do to prepare for this important celebration, and for the first time, Mulan is old enough to help out. But everything Mulan does seems to turn out wrong. Follow along with word-for-word narration with Mulan in this special Lunar New Year story that captures the unique sense of magic, imagination, and possibility that surrounds the holiday!”
Registration for the event is now open. Questions can also be submitted during the webinar through Zoom’s Q&A function. Due to anticipated demand, not all questions will be answered.
