Pin Trading Adds NEW Locations in the Parks!
Pin Traders everywhere: listen up. I know you’ve been missing the fun, ease, and excitement of the traditional Pin Trading. We all have. This weekend, I bring good news from Walt Disney World Resort!
The Disney Parks have been in their phased reopening period since July 11. Ever so slowly yet ever so steadily, more and more restaurants, experiences, and activities have begun to reopen to guests.
The latest in ‘reopening news’ comes from the land of Pin Trading! More and more Pin Trading locations are popping up around the Parks, but they look a bit different than what you may be used to.
Now, Pin Trading is done in a safe, socially distanced way! With the help of a Cast Member, you can collect and trade (safely) for that elusive pin all day long! The best news is that brand new Pin Trading locations have recently been added to Epcot and Animal Kingdom, as seen in these photos!
The New Pin Trading Process
Here is now the new Pin Trading process works:
First, you place the pin you want to trade into a bin or bucket (but hang onto the back of your pin!).
TIP: Safety is Disney’s top priority, always! I learned from a Cast Member that the pins placed in these bins sit untouched for at least 12 hours, then they are heavily sanitized before they are placed onto a cork board for trading.
Then, you can point to the pin that you want to add to your collection! The pins available for trade are displayed on themed cork boards. A Cast Member will hand you the pin of your choosing!
Make sure you keep the back of your traded pin handy, because you will not receive a back when the Cast Member hands you your new pin. Finally, each trading station is outdoors for safety.
Hand sanitizer and distance markers are in place at each stop to ensure social distancing and sanitizing. Happy Trading!
