Tiana’s Bayou Adventure & More Will Be Open During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
It may not exactly be beginning to look a lot like Christmas, but Disney got into a festive spirit today as they celebrated that we have reached halfway to the holidays.
In honor of the occasion, Disney World released details about this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, including the dates that the hard-ticket events will take place and a new price increase.
As part of their Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party announcements, Disney also unveiled the full list of attractions that will be open during this year’s parties. Let’s see what guests have to look forward to.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Will Be Open!
The biggest change to this year’s attraction list is the addition of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
With Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction set to open in just four days, it is perhaps no surprise that the ride will operate during MIckey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Still, when Disney announced the attraction list for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was first included, then removed.
The question for guests will be how Disney will manage demand for the new Frontierland ride. At this time, it is unclear if the attraction will use a virtual queue during MIckey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties or a traditional line.
Where Is Jingle Cruise?
Outside of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the rest of the listed attractions are the usual suspects.
Interestingly, in Adventureland, the open attractions will be Pirates of the Caribbean, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and the Swiss Family Treehouse. There is no mention of Jungle Cruise/Jingle Cruise.
Perhaps Disney is waiting to announce the seasonal overalay’s return before adding it to the list.
Other Open Attractions
Other attractions that will be open during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties include the Haunted Mansion in Liberty Square and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Astro Orbiter, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, the Tomorrowland Speedway, the PeopleMover and TRON Lightcycle/Run in Tomorrowland.
Fantasyland meanwhile will offer Journey of the Little Mermaid, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Prince Charmings Regal Carrousel, “it’s a small world,” Peter Pan’s Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, the Mad Tea Party, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and The Barnstormer.
No Country Bear Musical Jamboree? Will Thunder Mountain Be Open?
Finally, we have Frontierland. Interestingly, despite the fact that the Country Bear Musical Jamboree will be long open by the time the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party rolls around, the attraction is not listed.
Additionally, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is listed as an offered attraction even though the roller coaster is set to undergo a major refurbishment.
So, there you have it! While Disney has given fans an idea of what attractions they can expect, it looks like some changes could follow.
