PHOTOS: Día de los Muertos Has Hit Disneyland Resort!
Over at the Disneyland Resort, it’s that time of the year when holidays collide! (We love a good Haunted Mansion Holiday reference.) Christmas (which is already appearing around the resort) and Halloween probably came to your mind when we said that, but you’re forgetting about another holiday–Día de los Muertos!
The holiday–also known as “Day of the Dead”–is celebrated November 1st-2nd and honors loved ones who have passed away. Let’s take a look at how Día de los Muertos is being celebrated at the Disneyland Resort!
Rancho del Zocalo
Looking for bright, festive decorations? If so, head over to Rancho del Zocalo in Disneyland Park!
Right now, the alleyway leading up to the restaurant is decorated in gorgeous Día de los Muertos garlands! The center of the garlands has skulls…
…while the rest of the garland is decorated with colorful pumpkins!
Plaza de la Familia
Plaza de la Familia in Disney California Adventure celebrates the holiday with the help of Coco! There, you can check out the festive decor, like the Marigold bridge…
…use the memory wall to post messages to your loved ones…
…and watch Mariachi performances or A Musical Celebration of Coco!
So head over to Disneyland Resort to celebrate Día de los Muertos! And we’ll keep updating you with the latest around the resort, so stay tuned to MickeyBlog.com.
