Disney Cruise Line Removes COVID Vaccine and Testing Requirement for Australian Sailings
In just a few short weeks, the Disney Wonder will make its first sailing through the South Pacific for several cruises in Australia and New Zealand for the first time ever! Originally, due to restrictions from Australia, those on these Disney Cruise Line sailings with ports of call in Australia would be required to have a COVID vaccination and a negative COVID test. However, those requirements have just been lifted.
On August 25, 2023, the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee lifted the COVID vaccine and testing requirement for Australian cruises. Now, Disney Cruise Line has also adopted that policy.
Here is the official statement I received from Disney Cruise Line for those clients I have on the South Pacific and Australian voyages:
All of us at Disney Cruise Line look forward to welcoming your clients aboard the Disney Wonder. We are reaching out with important information about their sailing.
While COVID-19 vaccination and testing are not required for your clients’ sailing, Disney Cruise Line continues to recommend that all Guests become fully vaccinated before sailing and encourage unvaccinated Guests to take a COVID-19 self-test two days prior to their cruise. Should your clients test positive, please contact a member of our reservation team for assistance at 180-071-8515 from Australia and 050-876-5433 from New Zealand.
Please be aware that health and safety measures may change at any time. We encourage your clients to visit the Know Before You Go section of our website for the latest information about health and safety requirements for Disney Cruise Line.
Cruise health and safety protocols vary among countries and continue to evolve. Disney Cruise Line adheres to local laws, regulations and protocols in place at all homeports and ports of call, including those related to health and safety. Guests should review and stay up to date with any cruise-specific requirements, restrictions or recommendations that may be in place for travel to these destinations.
We look forward to welcoming your clients aboard soon.
Sincerely, The Cast and CrewDisney Cruise Line
