Here, they were welcomed by the founder of the Walt Disney Hometown Museum, Kaye Malins. After that, they were able to explore the museum, visit a street fair, enjoy notable speakers, and have lunch at local restaurants.
Later that day, the Head of D23, Michael Vargo, presented the museum with a special Disney100 flag. Mickey and Minnie were in attendance, dressed in their Platinum Celebration attire!
Marceline Mayor Sallie Buck surprised Guests by proclaiming June 3 as D23 day! This special event was presented by Citizen Watch America, who in honor of the celebration, dedicated a replica of Disney World’s Main Street U.S.A. clock to the Walt Disney Hometown Museum.
In the evening, the celebration continued at the Disney Family Farm. Guests enjoyed eats and treats as they relished their time at Walt’s beloved place!
Afterward, they enjoyed Walt’s favorite foods via a special dinner! The voice of Mickey Mouse, Bret Iwan, shared personal stories at the event.
The evening wrapped up with homemade apple pie and a special fireworks show above the farm’s pond! Members were gifted a preserved piece of Walt’s Dreaming Tree to commemorate their time.
