Disney’s Storyliving Community Clears Another Hurdle
Plans for Cotino, Disney’s mixed-use development in Ranch Mirage are moving forward, as the council adopted a finalized tact map for 10% of community’s planned housing.
The city council unanimously approved a roughly 7-acre subdivision of the project that includes lots for 187 single-family homes.

The Cotino project is designed to a include a 24-acre “grand oasis” lagoon, 1,700 homes and a resort hotel.
The location will be the first “Storyliving By Disney” community.

“As the Cotino community continues to come to life, we are excited to share more information about the many opportunities Artisan Club members will have to experience Disney magic right outside their front door and down the block,” said Claire Bilby, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Signature Experiences Emerging Businesses.
What Is Storyliving By Disney?
First announced in February 2002, Storyliving by Disney are planned ” vibrant new neighborhoods that are infused with our special brand of magic. Each community will feature distinctively designed spaces, unique amenities and Disney’s brand of world-renowned service”.

The master-planned communities are intended to inspire residents to foster new friends, pursue their interests and “write the next exciting chapter in their lives”.
What’s Next?
While developers still have a number of hurdles to clear, home sales are expected to begin sometime this year.

Disney officials have previously stated the the community’s first homes are expected to be finished in early 2024. It is unclear if that timeline is still in effect.
