Disney Cruise Lines Cast Members Create Positive Impact in the Bahamas!
The Bahamas feels like a second home to many of the Cast Members working onboard the multiple Disney Cruise ships. Especially for those on the Disney Wish!
The inspiring cast members recently partnered with local organizations to create positive impact and inspire children living in local foster care.

The Disney Wish crew members helped build a backyard garden for the non-profit organization, Ranfurly Homes for Children.
This simple but motivating event can now inspire the children to grow and enjoy their own garden and vegetables.

Disney Cruise Line partnered with the Agricultural Development Organization (ADO) and other community organizations to launch the new Community Farming project.
This exciting new program supports youth gardening across The Bahamas. The team worked together to create a garden with vegetables and spices, a shade house, and multiple garden beds.

Philip Smith, Bahamas executive chairman, Agricultural Development Organization Bahamas shared, “We are very happy and pleased to work with Disney on this initiative. It helps us make a bigger impact across The Bahamas.”

Disney Cruise Line has supported various organizations in the Bahamas for the past 25 years.
“Disney Cruise Line has been committed to creating lasting, positive impact in The Bahamas,” said Leslie Lopez, human resources manager, Disney Cruise Line.
The Community Farming Project is just one of the many ways Disney Cruise Lines empowers and inspires young people.
Disney Cruise Line has also supported the Ranfurly Homes for Children in various ways including :
- A Holiday party hosted by Captain Mickey Mouse at the foster care organization
- Special Ship Tour and Meet and Greet with the captain and crew

Disney Cruise Line has also provided financial support to the Community Farming Project. The donation will assist with additional development of backyard farms in schools in Abaco (near Castaway Cay).
