Disney Wish Stays Overnight in Nassau Due to Mechanical Errors
Breaking news this morning coming in from Disney Cruise Lines. The Disney Wish was delayed and had to stay overnight in Nassau due to mechanical errors.
MickeyTravels agent, Beverly Peterson, shared with us early morning that the Disney Wish is still currently in port!

Peterson shared, “I’m currently on the Disney Wish now. It’s having mechanical errors, and we had to stay at Nassau’s port overnight. We are actually still at the port.”

As you can see, guests had a magical day experiencing the Bahamas. The weather was perfect and there were no initial delays.
All aboard times for guests were 6:00pm and crew 5:30pm.

Saturday evening, the Captain announced the departure delay due to a mechanical issue.
At 6:12pm, guests also received this updated message from the Captain, re-iterating the info shared on the ship’s intercom communication.

Unfortunately, the delay caused the evening’s fireworks show to be cancelled, but the Mickey and Minnie’s Pirate Party and the Pirate’s Rocking’ Parlay Party was not affected.
Cruise Updates

Guests on board the Disney Wish received updated communications this morning.
The cast and crew acknowledged the mechanical issue and stressed the importance of safety and operating smoothly. The cruise engineering team resolved the issue overnight and the ship is scheduled to depart from Nassau at 10 AM.

Unfortunately, due to weather conditions, the ship will not be able to visit Disney Castaway Cay.
Due to the departure issues, guests onboard the Disney Wish are receiving $100 onboard credit and a 20% discount on a future three, four, or seven night Disney cruise vacation.
