The First Trailer For Disney’s ‘Wish’ Will Air Tomorrow During Good Morning America
Disney has a lot riding on its upcoming film Wish. The movie will mark Walt Disney Animation’s return to the box office following Strange World‘s bomb last November.
Since then, Illumination’s The Super Mario Bros has become one of the biggest animated films of all time, shattering Frozen 2‘s box office record and becoming the top-grossing film of 2023.

For Wish, Disney took inspiration from its own 100th anniversary, and the studio then created an animated musical film that has been the studio’s bread and butter.
What is Wish?
The film is set in the Kindom of Rosas, where Asha, a 17-year-old girl, senses darkness that no one else does. When she passionately pleads to the stars in her moment of need, an actual star in the sky named Star answers Asha’s wish.

Together, Asha and Star set out to prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.
Like Pixar’s Elemental, Wish will be closely watched by Hollywood insiders to see whether or not Disney can climb back to the top of the animation food change.

Chris Prine Announced
Earlier today, it was announced that Chris Prine would star in Wish as King Magnifico. Screenwriter Jennifer Lee had this to say about Pine’s involvement:
“As the most powerful person in the kingdom, King Magnifico needed to be played by someone who could give all the charm, cleverness and charisma to this magnanimous character. Chris is beautifully bringing all of that and then some.”

Disney fans will get their first glimpse of Wish when the film’s first trailer debuts during tomorrow’s episode of Good Morning America. New trailers have traditionally debuted during the show’s 8-9am ET hour.
