If You’re a ‘DuckTales’ Fan, Check Out This New Scrooge McDuck Pin
Like many of you, I first became aware of Scrooge McDuck through the original DuckTales series that was a part of the Disney Afternoon.
The world’s richest duck was a true Disney star in the late 1980s and 1990s, as his adventures with his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie captured our attention.

While Scrooge reached stardom following DuckTales, he had actually been an important member of Carl Bark’s Donald Duck universe for decades.
Originally created in 1947, Scrooge was one of the most popular characters in Disney comics and was often seen as Carl Bark’s signature work.

Well, I am glad to report that Disney is honoring Scrooge’s legacy with a new pin!
Disney Decades Scrooge McDuck Pin
This new Disney decades pin celebrates Scrooge’s storied history.
The front of the pin features Scrooge’s iconic money bin in all its golden glory. If you are a DuckTales fan or a Disney comic fan, then you will easily recognize this Duckberg landmark.
As if the front of the pin wasn’t cool enough, it opens up!
The inside cover of the pin features Scrooge as he appeared in his 1947 debut. He is angry and bitter here, far from the character we would eventually know and love.
The other side of the pin, however, features a more modern Scrooge, happily polishing his lucky dime’s case.
All in all, with just these two images, you can see the transformation of Scrooge from an angry miser to a beloved uncle! What a great design!
