Bob Iger Confirms The Premier Passport Will Not Return

In an annual meeting that featured contentious political arguments, and activist shareholders getting their proposal’s rejected, one self proclaimed big time Disney pin trader stepped to the telephone and asked the question that.. it turns out…no one was asking.

What Was The Disney Premier Passport

For those who don’t remember the Disney Premier Passport allowed guests to access Walt Disney World Resort parks and Disneyland Resort parks for an entire year.

That’s right, for the hefty price of just over $2,000, you could visit all six of Disney’s stateside parks.

The pass was eventually discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While Disneyland’s Magic Key passes have since returned, new sales of Walt Disney World have remained paused. Prior to today there had also been no news on the Premier Annual Passport.

Back to our hero- Dwight Morgan. During the the question and answer phase this brave soul shared his Disney fandom credentials, before insisting that the Premiere Passport should return for Disney’s most dedicated fans.

Why should “true fanatics” be “punished and restricted” he asked.

A question that he has asked year after year.

Unfortunately, Bob Iger had a simple response- there is simply no demand for Premiere Passport.

According to Disney, the ends don’t justify the means. Iger explained that with such low demand for the bi-coastal pass, Disney couldn’t justify the cost.

So there you have it. It doesn’t sound like the Premier Passport will be returning anytime soon. Perhaps if demand increases, Disney will rethink their position. But I wouldn’t hold my breath.
