Disney Raises $1.5 Million For Make-A-Wish With Specialty License Plate
One of the coolest things Disney did for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration was to release limited edition license plates for Florida drivers.
These plates let Disney fans showcase their love of Walt Disney Word, but that’s not all. They also raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Limited Time Magic
The special EARidescent Cinderella Castle design will be going away at the end of the month. So, if you are a Florida driver, now is your last chance to get one!
Disney recommends interested car owners get theirs through their local County Tax Collector’s Office, or at a DMV in Florida.
Money For A Great Cause
Since the 50th anniversary license plates were released, Disney has raised more than $1.5 million for Make-A-Wish of Central and Northern Florida. This is in addition to the nearly $6 million in grants they have given to organizations across Central Florida since the start of the anniversary.

While the 50th anniversary license plates will soon be a thing of the past, Disney has announced that a new Cinderella Castle design will be released this summer.
The exact look of the plate is unknown. What we do know, however, is that proceeds from the specialty plate will continue to go directly to Make-A-Wish of Central and Northern Florida.

A Longtime Partnership
Disney has been working with Make-A-Wish since 1980. Since then, more than 145,000 Disney-inspired wishes have been granted, and this includes the thousands that take place each year at Walt Disney World.
In fact, according to Make-A-Wish, Disney is the single largest granter of wishes across the world!
