FIRST LOOK: Tangierine Cafe Outdoor Kitchen at EPCOT Flower and Garden Fest
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog today, you’ll know that we’re at the first day of the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival which runs daily until July 5, 2023. We popped over to the Tangierine Cafe to sample some of the delectable new menu items introduced for the fest.
You’ll find the Tangierine Cafe at the Morocco Pavilion in the World Showcase. The food menu is as follows:
- Grilled Kebabs with Carrot-Chickpea Salad and Garlic Aïoli
- Lamb Kefta (gluten/wheat-friendly)
- Chermoula Chicken (gluten/wheat-friendly)
- Hummus Trio: Traditional Hummus, Red-Beet-and-Black-Garlic Hummus, and Avocado-Herb Hummus, served with Moroccan Bread and Crispy Papadam (plant-based, Garden Graze item)
- Orange Blossom-Saffron Cake
The beverage menu is as follows:
- Pomegranate Mimosa
- Keel Farms Strawberry Elderflower Hard Cider, Plant City, FL
- Bold Rock Tangerine Hard Cider, Nellysford, VA
- 3 Daughters Brewing Pomegranate Hard Cider, St. Petersburg, FL
- Cider Flight
The Tangierine Cafe hummus trio comes with three different varieties: traditional, red beet and black garlic and avocado and herb hummus.
Our MickeyBlogger Miranda really loved the hummus trio. She said that the beet hummus was slightly sweet but balanced out nicely with the black garlic.
She also advised that the traditional hummus brought all the familiar flavors and was delicious. However, out of the three, the star of the show was the Avocado- Herb Hummus. Miranda said that the Avocado Hummus is incredibly flavorful and had the desired spiciness she was looking for.
The only fault found with this dish was that there simply weren’t enough pita chips. The scoops of hummus were plentiful but we lacked the bread to finish it off!
Here’s a first look at the Orange Blossom Saffron Cake at Tangierine Cafe.
This got a huge thumbs up from Miranda! She said that this is easily her favorite dessert of the day.
The orange coating on the outside of the cake is actually orange flavored. The cake had a nice citrus taste but wasn’t overpowering. This dessert was also super moist!
