What Did Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Do After Winning the Daytona 500?
He went to Disney World of course! One day after wining the Daytona 500 in double overtime, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was pictured posing with Mickey Mouse in front of Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom.
As you can see from these images, the NASCAR driver showed of his Daytona 500 ring while Mickey donned his racing outfit!
For NASCAR fans, this year’s Daytona 500 was momentous. Sunday’s race went into double overtime making it the longest running Daytona race in history. As a recent piece in Click Orlando tells us, it took 212 laps (a dozen over the scheduled amount) and 530 miles before Stenhouse’s win!
As a matter of fact this year’s Daytona 500 marked a few firsts for Ricky Stenhouse and co. First of all, this was the first single-car team to win the race since 2011. As Sportscasting.com tells us, the 2023 race is also the third victory of Ricky Stenhouse Jr’s career since 2017. That year Stenhouse won both the spring race at Talladega Superspeedway and Daytona’s summer race. This feat also makes Stenhouse the most accomplished Daytona 500 winner since Denny Hamlin won the race back in 2020!
Congratulations to Ricky Stenhouse Jr, his family and team! We can’t think of a better way to celebrate than a trip to the “Most Magical Place on Earth!”
