Scaffolding Installed at Splash Mountain and More Construction Updates
Construction continues on a recently closed attraction at Magic Kingdom Park. Scaffolding has been installed in Splash Mountain’s flume.
Our MickeyBlogger is at Disney World today, bringing you the latest updates from the ride. Let’s take a closer look at what’s going on at the site!
Splash Mountain
Recently, Splash Mountain closed to make way for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Guests flooded the Parks for their last chance to experience the nostalgic attraction.
Disney World has been quick to remove references to the ride, updating tip boards, signage, and narrations. Fans are awaiting the new attraction which debuts in late 2024.

Inspired by The Princess and the Frog, it will provide a whole new experience, complete with new characters, costumes, and music. Although many are sad to see the original version go, there’s a lot to look forward to with Disney’s coming attraction!
Scaffolding Installed
Yesterday, we reported that a small staircase had been added to Splash Mountain’s waterway.
Today, more scaffolding has been erected along a portion of the flume.
It continues under the bridge.
The ride has been completely drained as construction continues.
Fans are still awaiting news on when Splash Mountain will shut down on the west coast.
Currently, there is no word on its closing date.
More Construction Updates
We spotted a ladder out and about.
We recently reported that we saw a crane behind the attraction.
It’s still there, looming above Splash Mountain’s peak.
We’ve also shared about new signs spotted on boards surrounding the ride’s perimeter.
They say, “Tiana’s Foods, Employee Owned, Coming Soon!”
