SNEAK PEEK: ‘Making the Wish: Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship’ Coming to National Geographic
I don’t know about you but I am fascinated by ship building. I followed the building process of the Disney Wish very closely so that is why I am beyond excited for “Making the Wish: Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship” to debut on National Geographic this Christmas Eve.

National Geographic was tapped to film the process so we can all now see those behind-the-scenes moments in this incredible process.
The “Making the Wish: Disney’s Newest Cruise Ship” documentary will air Christmas Eve night at 9 pm EST on National Geographic. (Perfect if you will be doing last minute gift wrapping like myself!) The documentary is 90 minutes long and will show us the process of designing, constructing, and launching the Disney Wish shown only through the eyes of Disney Cruise Line and those incredible Walt Disney Imagineering team.

This first of its kind documentary was directed, written, and produced by Chad Cohen along with Bethany Jones who has producer and writer credits all in conjunction with The Walt Disney Company’s in-house marketing arm, Disney Yellow Shoes.

Per Disney, “At a two-centuries old shipyard on Germany’s North Sea, a marvel of modern engineering is taking shape. Hundreds of construction workers, engineers, architects, designers, animators, composers, storytellers, cast and crew are transforming 144,000 tons of steel into perhaps the most enchanting vessel ever to take to sea. They’re making the Disney Wish a reality.”
