Top of the World Lounge Will Reopen at the Contemporary on July 11 With Villainous Surprise
We’ve got some exciting news for DVC members this Friday afternoon. A beloved Disney Vacation Club Lounge will be reopening this Summer and will also be adding some wickedly wonderful surprises.
The Top of the World Lounge at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort will once again be welcoming guests beginning on July 11, 2022. However, after a long hiatus, some things have changed!
Top of the World Becomes…Villains Lair.
This is still THE place to go for stunning views of Magic Kingdom’s evening fireworks display but it would seem that the location has bene taken over some of Disney’s most nefarious baddies. According to Disney, it didn’t take long for villains including Cruella de Vil, Dr. Facilier and more to take over the idle enclave, turning it into a devil’s playground of sorts. When it came time for Disney to reopen, Top of the World, they noticed that the Villains left some items behind at this picturesque lounge.
Be on the lookout for wicked apparel, artwork befitting their ghastly galleries and even recipes that reflect their cunning concoctions!
With the villainous takeover comes a new name. Top of the World Lounge has been officially redubbed – Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair. You’ll be dazzled by how the magical touches that have been added to this place of magic!

If you’re a DVC member and are lucky enough to be visiting Walt Disney World later this Summer than we recommend that you pop by this updated lounge for “spell-tacular” views, sinister concoctions, wicked wines, bubbling brews and fiendish fare. A menu highlight is sure to be the new Seven “Lair” Cake!
If you’re able to time your visit with a rooftop viewing of Magic Kingdom’s Disney Enchantment fireworks- even better!

Top of the World Lounge- A Villains Lair will be open from 6pm – midnight daily.
Experience spell-tacular views while sipping sinister concoctions and nibbling on fiendish fare––for eligible Members only. Subject to capacity restrictions and operating hours. Check-in time starts at 5:45 pm. Complimentary parking for eligible members begins at 5:00 pm. Disney Vacation Club Members are required to present a digital Member Card and photo ID at security to confirm access.
Guests should note that the lounge may have blackout dates including on July 4th, New Years Eve as well as for special events.
