New Vault Merchandise Pops up at Main Street Cinema
The Vault Collection continues to be one of our favorite merchandise debuts during this year’s 50th anniversary celebration at Walt Disney World Resort. With new items debuting all the time, we popped into Main Street Cinema yesterday to take a look at this week’s new release: a new PopSockets PopWallet+.
Part phone wallet and part phone grip and stand, the PopWallet+ features the vintage map design that runs across an abundace of new Vault Collection merchandise.
The grip features the original Magic Kingdom logo as well as the vintage Walt Disney World logo that features across the vast majority of merchandise resort-wide. In a nod to “the World’s Most Magical Celebration,” Walt Disney World Resort merchandise returned to using the original typography this fall for the anniversary.
The old-school maps provide an abundance of color with an emphasis on the water features in Magic Kingdom and the surrounding Frontierland and Liberty Sqaure. The colorful compass on the PopSocket ties the shades together and offsets the yellow tone throughout the vintage map.
Reatiling for $34.99, the Popsocket PopWallet+ can be found at Main Street Cinema on Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom. The Vault Collection also pops up periodically at Port of Entry, a retail location at EPCOT. The merchandise also features at Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs.
Vault Collection Restock
During our stop at Main Street Cinema, MickeyBlogger Jared also noticed a restock of a super popular collectible on the collection: the Citizen Double Bell Alarm Clock. The gold keepsake features Mickey Mouse as well as Cinderella Castle.
The $35 specialty item makes a lovely souvenir during this year’s 50th anniversary. The celebration began on October 1st, the official date of the park’s milestone, and continues for an 18-month period.
