I can’t believe we are less than a month away from drawn to life which opens at Disney Springs on Thursday, November 18th. To celebrate the arrival of Cirque to Soleil’s latest Disney-inspired show, we’ve got a NEW behind-the-scenes video to share with you.
The video brilliantly conveys the inspiration and artistry behind the Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering.
The production celebrates Disney’s legacy in the art of animation spanning from the first pencil sketches to the feature films that we know and love today. Drawn to Life will feature the classic characters and moments from Disney Animation reinterpreted through the innovative design, acrobatic performances, dazzling choreography and creative costuming the Cirque du Soleil is world-renowned for. Add to the an inspiring score of timeless Disney music and you have an experience that you’ll never forget.
In the video below you’ll meet Eric Goldberg, a veteran director, designer and animator who began working with Walt Disney Animation Studios back in 1990 where he supervised the animation of the Genie in Aladdin. In his role as Animation Director for the show, Eric gives a unique insider’s perspective on the seamless blending of live performance and animation that you’ll find in Drawn to Life.
