Vault Houseware Throws Back Disney Merchandise
In the words of our beloved pal, Mickey Mouse, “Oh boy!” The Disney Vault Collection dropped this morning at the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs, and the kitchenware is just irresistible.
Nostalgic Trinkets Abound
With vintage-inspired salt and pepper shakers, plates, placemats and even a new bell, this line certainly brings back a plethora of fond Disney memories from decades of the past. There are even collectible spoons with a new mug celebrating the Walt Disney World Preview Center, which opened on the resort property in 1970 to much excitement.
Like so much of the resort’s 50th anniversary merchandise, gold accents run throughout much of the kitchenware line, especially in the more classic items, like the salt-and-pepper shaker set.
With a limit of two per guest as is the case with all anniversary merchandise, the porcelain shakers retail for $19.99.
With a beautiful portrait sketched on one side, the anniversary bell will certainly become a treasure for any Disney collector.
The delightful cloche retails for $14.99, making it a lovely gift to bring home to family members hoping to share in “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.”
In a solid throwback to the parks opening, this trinket tray is an exact replica of the original sold at the Walt Disney World Resort when it opened in 1971.
The warm colors of the design certainly juxtapose the colors of this year’s anniversary festivities. Other lines of anniversary merchadise take on a much cooler vibe.
Like the bell, the trinket tray can bring a piece of nostalgia into anyone’s home for $14.99.
Bringing Disney Magic to Kitchenware
New Mickey Mouse plates as well as a darling placemat bring the anniversary magic straight to tablescapes.
Bold Mickey Mouse block provides a classic accent to this dinner plate, which features his 1970s self centerstage. Like the rest of the collection, the plates are also limited to two per guest.
On the back of the plateware, the 50th anniversary logo features prominently on the design, which retails for $24.99 a piece.
Joined by his pals, Mickey leads a parade of sorts across the iconic opening day design of this reversible placement. Full of primary colors, the retro logo features really embraces the mission of the Vault collection.
On the back of the celebratory design, the placemat features a colorful, whimsical nod to the Magic Kingdom’s orginal design.
With a range of colors that Mary Blair would be proud of, the map celebrates all things 1971 Walt Disney World, including the innovative theme park and its first two resorts, Disney’s Polynesian Village and Disney’s Contemporary resorts.
The mutli-toned placemat retails for $7.99. For more on the Vault Collection’s incredible range of offerings, check out the latest on MickeyBlog.
like the salt/pepper shakers but see no place to order
Hi Carol, the salt and pepper shakers are still only available at the Walt Disney World Resort at this moment in time. Be sure to keep an eye out on shopDisney as part of the Vault Collection is already available to purchase, so it can be assumed that the salt and pepper shakers will be available online at some point in the future.
