You CANNOT Miss These Two Super-Refreshing Food and Wine Cocktails!
This year’s Food and Wine Festival has SO many different food and beverage offerings that it is quite literally impossible to try them all. It can also be really tough to narrow down which food and drink offerings to put at the top of your must-try list.
It’ll come as no surprise to hear it’s been extremely hot down here at WDW Resort, and my most recent visits to Epcot have been all about keeping cool and comfortable instead of sampling heavy Food and Wine items. My determination to stay cool has led me to try some pretty fantastic (and super refreshing!) cocktails that get my highest recommendations. THESE are the two must-try cocktails at Food and Wine Festival for when the temperatures soar.
2-Fig Cocktail
When you’ve walked halfway around World Showcase in 92 degree heat, the Morocco Pavilion is a great place to stop for a shady repose.
I recently picked up the Fig Cocktail they’re serving in Tangerine Cafe as part of the Food and Wine Festival offerings. Featuring white cranberry juice and white fig vodka, the iced drink sounded like just what I needed to propel me to the next Pavilion.
The drink itself is hands-down one of the best and clearly one of the most unique at this year’s festival. The flavor is not overly fig-forward, but the combination of the light white cranberry juice combined with the subtly herbal and earthy-sweet fig flavors makes this both extremely refreshing and extremely tasty!
1- White Sangria
Italy always boasts one of the longest lines each Festival, and for good reason. Personally I would have no problem waiting 20+ minutes in the notoriously sun-drenched Italy booth line if it meant the White Sangria was waiting for me at the end!
This is my favorite drink at this year’s Festival without question. The description is a little misleading because while this sangria is indeed made with white wine, it neglects to mention the pure peach flavor that it provides! It’s only subtly sweet, but the burst of fresh peach flavor masks any hint of the alcohol in this drink.
Although it’s not iced, the sangria was ice cold both times I’ve had it and it gets my extremely high recommendation when you need a little something more than cold water to beat the heat at the Food and Wine Festival.
Have you had either of these drinks at this year’s Festival? If not, which would you most like to try? Leave me a comment and let me know!
