New Anthem and Concept Art Revealed for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary
The countdown is on! In just 49 days, Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” will kick off! And, to get us excited for the countdown, Disney has just shared with us the official anthem for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary along with some new concept art.

Since it’s never a party without some great music, Walt Disney World has tapped the platinum-selling songwriter and music producer, Alana Da Fonseca to create the anthem. Alana teamed up with award-winning composer Emily Bear and gifted Journi to create Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary anthem called “The Magic is Calling.”
With Alana’s pop music singing style and Emily’s orchestrations combined with Journi’s jaw-dropping vocal performance, “The Magic is Calling” is the perfect anthem for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary that combines a touch of nostalgia and inspiration but gives it a contemporary vibe.

“It’s such a tremendous honor to write something that celebrates a place that brings so much joy to so many people,” said Da Fonseca. “There’s magic all around us, and when you’re there, you are feeling it at every turn.”
Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary anthem, “The Magic is Calling,” will be soon be heard in several ways as a call to all Guests to join in “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” The song was composed as a way to connect all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks and Guests will be treated to different versions of the song in each of the four Parks.

At night, each Walt Disney World Theme Park icon including Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom, Spaceship Earth in EPCOT, the Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, will transform into a Beacon of Magic in an EARidescent glow and shine like never before. With the 50th Anniversary anthem, “The Magic is Calling,” playing in the background, this will be a call for all to come and celebrate 50 years of magic.
Guests will also hear “The Magic is Calling” in new entertainment that will debut just for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. For example, Guests will hear the celebratory anthem in the Magic Kingdom during Mickey’s Celebration Parade with the “EARidescent 8,” in performances of the the Main Street Philharmonic and the Dapper Dans.

At EPCOT, Guests will hear Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary anthem performed by the Voices of Liberty and over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom performed by the Discovery Island Drummers.
