Give Kids the World Town Hall Refresh Underway!
Here at MickeyBlog, we are proud of our relationship with Give Kids the World. They are a fantastic non-profit organization that welcomes critically ill children and their families for a week-long, all-expenses paid escape to the most magical area on earth!
We are often invited to their media events and are always thrilled to visit and cover the wonderful events and fundraisers they often host.
Recently, we were invited out to Give Kids the World Village when I noticed their main Town Hall building looked a little different than the last time I visited.
Granted, the last time I visited it was shimmering in sparkling lights during their Night of a Million Lights event (which is returning Holiday season- tickets can be purchased here!), but this look was unlike one I’d seen before.
Surrounded by construction vehicles and lifts, the building was in the process of receiving a bright new coat of paint! I was thrilled to see the work taking place because if you’ve ever visited, you know Give Kids the World is NOT a drab place.
Its quirky buildings and various attractions are always super vibrant and bright, and it’s impossible to walk through without smiling!
Crews worked under the hot Florida sun to power wash, remove awnings, and most importantly spruce up those vibrant paint colors that Give Kids the World is known for.

Smiling for the camera- even the construction crews can’t help but smile at Give Kids the World!
The main Town Hall building pictured here serves as the focal point of the Village. It’s also where volunteers serve 3 meals a day to the countless families who are always staying on-site and where certain weekly events (like the Mayor of Give Kids the World’s weekly ‘birthday bash’) take place for the enjoyment of the visiting families.
The new coat of paint will certainly give this building a bright and shiny newness that is sure to make any visitor smile! If you can, please consider donating to Give Kids the World here, your donation will help make future projects like this possible!
