D23’s Newest Magazine Gives Us a Hint Of 50th Anniversary Castle Projections
As we inch ever closer to the start of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration, we are thirsty for anything and everything that gives us a taste of what’s in store for guests!

One of the elements of Disney’s celebration that we can’t wait to see in person are what Disney is referring to as “Beacons of Light.” The idea is that each of the major landmarks of each Disney World theme park will be transformed with a stunning projection show. Beacons of Light will feature Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom, Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom, Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios and Spaceship Earth at EPCOT.
Earlier today, D23- Disney’s Official Fan Club, revealed the cover for their latest Member Magazine and we think it definitely teases what Beacons of Light will look like at Cinderella Castle.
Previously Disney announced that the Castle will be illuminated with a dazzling glow and a sprinkling of pixie dust and we can definitely see that in the image above. The castle is lit up in blue, purple, pink and golden hues. These are all featured in the Earidescent Colorway which is the official color of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
We love the way this ties in seamlessly with the golden garlands, ribbon-wrapped spires and jewel adorned turrets of Disney’s recent Cinderella Castle makeover.

Tower of Terror – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The always iconic Hollywood Tower Hotel will be glittering with Earidescence which is sure to evoke the glimmer and shimmer of the golden age of Hollywood!

Spaceship Earth – EPCOT
Lights will shine from within Spaceship Earth’s reflective panels to symbolize the beacons of possibility and optimism.
Tree of Life – Animal Kingdom
Feel one with your lush surroundings as warm and glorious light emanates from the Tree of Life. Fireflies will gather to leave guests feeling the magic and majesty of nature!

In addition, each day Disney is announcing Fab50 characters- golden statues that will appear around each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks and will celebrate some of our favorite Disney Friends.
