You Can NOW See The Lights On Spaceship Earth as Part of the Reimagining of EPCOT
This is a time of such massive change at EPCOT in Walt Disney World. The theme park is currently going through and Epic transformation which includes the reimagining of Future World into new distinct neighborhoods.
At its center will be an area known as World Celebration. This will encompass the entrance to EPCOT, Spaceship Earth and surrounding shops.
As part of this, Disney wants to change the way you experience your arrival or departure from the park and are re-doing the area around Spaceship Earth.
This iconic landmark is also getting an illuminating upgrade!
As part of this the courtyard is getting a new fountain at the base of Spaceship Earth which features three towering pylons. New music will also be used in the entrance, flags flank the fountain area featuring the six original EPCOT icons but most importantly this area will be lit up like never before.
Setting the tone for the magic that awaits, the fountain will have a ne lighting package that will tie into the brand new lighting of Spaceship Earth. Once completed this entire area will glow and shine like never before!
During her visit to EPCOT today, our MickeyBlogger Elyssa noticed that the lights are now visible to view as you walk underneath Spaceship Earth.
At the intersections of the panel design, you’ll now see circular white points.
These are where the lights will shine that illuminate this incredible attraction and iconic Disney landmark!
We can’t wait to see the globe lit up in all its splendor!
But the fun isn’t limited just to the nighttime! Adjacent to Spaceship Earth will be Dreamers Point. This area will be home to lush vegetation and a new statue honoring the original dreamer – Walt Disney!
This whole area which including a new story fountain will celebrate the power of music and the importance of storytelling.
