Severe Storms Expected In Florida Over the Next Few Days
We hate to “rain on your parade” but if you’re heading to Disney World this weekend it could get a little cold and a little wet!
According to a post this morning on Fox35 there is an approaching cold front and energy building over the gold which could put a damper on those holiday vibes! The end result could be strong to severe storms in Central Florida.
We’ll share a couple of Fox’s images below to put things in perspective. The network is reporting that today (Saturday) is expected to be the driest day) with scattered ran expected. Those in Marion, Ocala and Lake County may see some heavier rain, hail and lightning.
However, tomorrow is the day that you’re most likely to feel the impact of this front. Whet weather will kick off tomorrow and run through Wednesday as the front stalls out in Central Florida. Rainfall could be an issue with an accumulated range of 2-5″ across the region.
Fox35 said that visitors will want to be mindful of potential storms on Monday and Tuesday with the potential for flooding and severe weather warnings. This is a story that we’ll continue to follow closely here at MickeyBlog and we promise to keep you posted with further news and updates!
If heading to the theme parks during the beginning of the week, bring a theme park bag with ponchos, a change of clothes, dry socks etc. That way, should the weather change unexpectedly you have all the essentials to continue to enjoy your Disney day.
