Disney World Employee Helps Save Woman from Domestic Abuse
All thanks to a Disney World Reservation Agent, a woman is safe from her abusive boyfriend.
The Disney World employee was on the phone with the woman trying to book Disney World tickets when the employee heard her yell “get off me” and “get away from me.” Police say the employee knew something wasn’t right and started asking questions but the woman would only reply with “yes” or “no” answers and wouldn’t go into details about what was happening.
“The Disney World employee at one point asked if she was actually calling to book a stay and she stated ‘no.’ She then asked (the woman) if she needed law enforcement to her home and she stated ‘yes,”‘ according to the report. The employee then alerted the local authorities.
The Northern Regional Police were dispatched to the home at around 11:15 p.m. on January 9th. where they found Wayne Terry Shiflett. Shiflett, 38, of the 3300 block of Glen Hallow Drive in Dover Township, is in York County Prison, charged with strangulation, a felony; terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and simple assault, both misdemeanors; and a summary harassment offense.
Thank goodness the Disney world employee was able to send help when she needed it.
