Magical Holiday Special Reason For Stage At Magic Kingdom
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog then you know that during our LIVE visit to the Magic Kingdom last week we reported that a stage was going up in the forecourt stage area next to Cinderella Castle.
At the time we spoke to cast members who said that they thought it was for a Christmas special but weren’t sure.
We can now confirm that it was and here’s what we know so far!
The staging was for the first of three Disney Channel holiday specials titled “Disney Holiday Magic Quest.” The program is being described as a high-stakes challenge that navigates through Magic Kingdom.
The special includes some of your favorite Disney Channel friends. It hosted by Raven-Symone and features “ZOMBIES 2” stars Milo Manheim, Kylee Russell, Ariel Martin, and Pearce Joza. Watch as they compete in this action-packed holiday adventure.
The premise for the quest takes place after Disney villains Maleficent and the Evil Queen somehow manage to steal holiday magic. To restore the joy of the season, the stars most overcome a series of obstacles and complete challenges.
These missions take place throughout the Magic Kingdom and bring the teams to some of the park’s most iconic attractions including Haunted Mansion and Cinderella Castle.
The four Disney Channel stars compete for a grand prize that will benefit Toys for Tots which is a nonprofit organization that brings hope and magic to those less fortunate.
We expect more exciting details to emerge regarding this and other Disney Channel holiday specials in the days and weeks ahead. “Disney’s Holiday Magic Quest” will debut on Disney Channel on Friday, December 4th at 8:00 pm.
