This Week! In Star Wars: Anniversaries, Ewoks & Jedi
Thursday is my favorite day of the week as it brings a new “This Week! In Star Wars.”
Of course, host Kristin Baver continued to kick quarantine, um…. bantha butt by bringing us all a five-minute weekly recap.
On this edition of my favorite show, The Baver Bunch learns about this week’s anniversaries, book updates, and more.
This Week! In Star Wars: May 28, 2020
The official Star Wars YouTube account posted:
A Look At Jedi Temple Challenge, Anniversary Celebrations, and More!
This week in Star Wars, we check out the new kids’ game show heading to StarWarsKids.com, celebrate the anniversary of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort, and get some updates on Star Wars: The High Republic. Plus, we take a look back at the release of Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.
One of the coolest teases in the show spoke to the show, ILM Presents: Empire at 40.
A special live stream conversation with effects legends Dennis Muren, Joe Johnston, Phil Tippett, and Lorne Peterson in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. ILM’s VFX Supervisor Bill George will moderate the discussion.
And, speaking of the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, the Star Wars Kids YouTube site posted a new clip, too.
Journey to Dagobah | Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures
Luke Skywalker trains in the ways of the Jedi with Master Yoda, learning the power of the Force. Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Star Wars sequel film with an all-new animated take on the adventure.
Ms. Baver and the crew also included stories covered by the latest episode of The Star Wars Show.
- The delay in publishing dates for Star Wars: The High Republic, January 2021
- Ahmed Best returning to Star Wars through Jedi Temple Challenge
- E.K. Johnston on Queen’s Peril
We posted about that episode on Wednesday:
And, finally, This Week! In Star Wars also celebrated the original release dates of both the original Star Wars and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.
Be sure to watch the episode and check out our links above.
