Wicked Ways To Add A Bit of “Maleficent” Fun To Your Disneyland Days
In case you haven’t heard, “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” comes out in less than a month (October 18th.) And to pay tribute to Disney’s first Super-Villain we here at MickeyBlog thought we’d share with you some ways that you can celebrate Maleficent during your next Disney visit.
Take a look:
Check Out Disney’s “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” Sneak Peek
Get a rare look at this upcoming live-action adventure at Disney California Adventure. Starting on Friday (September 27th) visitors can enjoy a sneak peek experience in the evenings at Sunset Showcase Theater. This will follow the final performance of Mickey’s PhilharMagic.
Capture a Spooktacular Selfie at the Maleficent-inspired Photo Wall
During your visit to Downtown Disney and Disney California Adventure Park be on the lookout for special photo walls allowing you to spread your rings just like Maleficent. Trust us when we say that these images will make for the perfect Instagram shots! We’re told they’ll be cropping up soon!
Maleficent Merchandise
You can show off your wicked side with tees, ears and other accessories that pay tribute to this notorious villain! Great places to start are Elias & Co in Disney California Adventure, Emporium at Disneyland and World of Disney at Downtown Disney starting on September 30th.
Villains Dance Party
Bring your dancing shoes and head over to Disneyland’s Tomorrowland Terrace for some spooky fun time! Villains that have been known to turn up include Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook and Maleficent.
Character Encounter
Spot Maleficent being devious near Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland park. Be sure to have those cameras at the ready to capture the moment you come face to face!
Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough
One of our favorite things to do during a visit to Disneyland is taking a nostalgic walk through the passageways inside Sleeping Beauty Castle. Here you’ll experience the epic tale of Princess Aurora as told through immersive displays, sounds and special effects.
“Fantasmic!”
Enjoy the iconic nighttime spectacular on select nights at Disneyland park. Fantasmic! features dazzling special effects that transform Rivers of America into a tableau of Mickey Mouse’s imagination. Maleficent makes a dramatic transformation in the final scene into a 45-foot fire-breathing dragon!
Tuck Into Maleficent-Inspired Eats
You’ll find a wide range of Maleficent inspired eats around the parks in the weeks to come. Why not start with the Maleficent Churro covered with chocolate cookie crumbles blended with colored sugar with a marshmallow dipping sauce on the side. You’ll find them at churro carts near Town Square and Sleeping Beauty Castle. From October 18 – 31st you’ll also want to be on the lookout for the Maleficent Apple which will come coated in chocolate and decorated with candies, colored sugar and colored chocolate. You’ll find these crafty creations at Candy Place and Hunny Spot at Disneyland Park or at Trolley Treats and Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff at Disney California Adventure Park and Marceline’s Confectionery at the Downtown Disney District.
We hope that all of this has you as excited as we are about checking out “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” when it swoops into theaters on October 18th. If not this Official Trailer will certainly do the trick:
