Celebrate National Beer Lovers Day at Disney
It’s September 7th and that can only mean one thing. It’s National Beer Lovers Day!
Walt Disney World Resort is not only the most popular theme park destination in the country, the Resort has established itself as a foodie’s ideal vacation location! There are over 140 restaurants boasting world-class chefs who capture the flavors of global cuisines in the heart of Central Florida.
No matter if the food is augmented by Latin spices or has been slow-roasting over an open flame, it should come as no surprise that the Resort’s collection of beers- both domestic and global- are just as unique and widely available as the fantastic food they so perfectly pair with!
Not only do the hundreds (yes, hundreds) of beers across the Resort taste amazing with a signature dining experience, they are one of the most refreshing ways to cool down on a hot Florida afternoon (or evening, or morning…hey you’re on vacation!).
The amount of beer choices are practically as abundant as the restaurants and bars that serve the frothy beverage, and no matter if you’re spending the day at Disney Springs or touring World Showcase in Epcot, you will never be more than just a few steps from a nice, tall, frothy beer.
September 7th is National Beer Lovers Day, and here are the beers you simply must taste if you’re visiting Walt Disney World Resort!
Birra Moretti – Italy Pavilion
While you’re visiting Italy, be sure to pick up one of the beers imported directly from Italy! This lighter, yet very flavorfully refreshing beer is perfect for an afternoon stroll.
Raglan Road – Disney Springs
The Irish pub boasts a beer menu of more than 2 dozen varieties! From Irish import to American (domestic), everyone will find what they’re after. If you can’t decide, the Guinness is always flowing here! Folks have even gone as far to claim this spot serves the best Guinness stateside…go find out for yourself!
Innis and Gunn – UK Beer Cart
You needn’t set foot inside the Rose and Crown pub in the UK pavilion for some of the best beer on Disney Property! Pulled from an outdoor keg, Innis and Gunn is an oaky Scottish beer that gets its flavor from its time spent in oak barrels…yum!
Casa – Morocco Pavilion
Imported from Morocco, this refreshing lager is perfect for a hot afternoon. You can find it at Spice Road Table.
Hawkes’ Grog Ale – Pandora
This beer is straight from another world: Pandora! It’s green hue is a bit off-putting, but don’t worry, the flavors are fruity and light and pair perfectly with a meal from Satu’li Canteen
Beer Flight – Bauernnmarkt
Farmer’s Market- Definitely don’t pass up your opportunity to taste some of the beers offered at the Outdoor Kitchens during Fresh Epcot! This flight features Paulaner Original Munich Lager, Ayinger Bräu Weisse Hefeweizen, and Köstritzer Schwarzbier Black Lager.
Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale – Trader Sam’s Grogg Grotto
Although the specialty cocktails are the draw here, this Pale Ale is a hearty, malty, satisfying beer without the ‘heaviness’.
Create Your Own Beer Flight – Baseline Tap House
At Hollywood Studios, the brand-new Baseline Tap House lets you choose your own beer flight from more than 20 on tap beers!
Green Flash Passion Fruit Kicker Ale – Baseline Tap House
If you don’t like beer because of it’s bitter flavor, give this one a try! It’s definitely more fruity than hoppy.
STK Orlando – Disney Springs
For the high rollers, STK is the place to begin and end your night. They’re offering a strong IPA here that is perfect to enjoy on its own, but I recently tried their suggested pairing of fire-roosted shrimp to snack on while I sipped, and the pairing was extraordinary.
