So, What is Disney’s World Hopper Pass? And the World Annual Pass?
Any ticket to visit the wonders of Disney, both near and far, will feel like a golden invitation to expand your imagination and thrill your senses, but when you start to book your experience, you may feel overwhelmed with the variety of options. Depending on the duration of your stay, your goals for your vacation and the experiences you’d like to share, there are many factors to consider when selecting which ticket to purchase. From Walt Disney World’s Hopper Pass to water theme park tickets and the World Annual Pass, talking with one of our specialized Disney Travel agents will help you better understand the right purchase for your family – and the one that will ultimately, save you the most money. If you’re curious about what you can expect out of the various tickets, here’s a quick lowdown:
Admission to One Park
If you’ve already spent a nice chunk of time at Magic Kingdom and you want to venture to Epcot for a few days, this might be the best option for your family. Or, if you’re touring around other theme parks in the area, taking a vacation to hit up the beaches, and want to stop by for a ride in the teacups to surprise your smallest babe, a single admission is usually the way to go. It is important to note that at Walt Disney World, this ticket won’t let you explore to the other kingdoms if curiosity strikes half-way through your jaunt.
Disney World Park Hopper Pass
For a longer vacation – say three days even – you’ll definitely want to upgrade to the Walt Disney World Park Hopper Pass. As the name suggests, this ticket allows you to bounce from Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom, from Disney Hollywood Studios to Epcot, all with the same admission price. Especially if it’s your first time touring around Florida’s happiest destination, taking advantage of the hopper pass will allow you to explore the various attractions and rides, meeting characters and dining at a slew of different restaurants along the way. It also helps that the cost between a single park admission and the hopper pass isn’t a big stretch, meaning it’s worth the few extra twenties to get more out of your vacation.
Special Event Tickets
Interested in experiencing the Walt Disney World Food & Wine Festival? Or Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween? Or maybe Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party? In addition to all of the festivities for these themed days, you’ll also have access to the park in which the event is hosted, allowing you to tour around, hop on rides and more. You can also add on a Hopper Pass for make a longer stint out of your getaway, if you’d like to set that out of office for more days.
Annual Passes
If you call Florida home (or at least a neighboring state) and you make frequent weekend excursions to Walt Disney World, it could be worth the investment to buy an annual pass. You can select from Platinum and Platinum Plus, both of which give you access to all four theme parks, with no blackout dates. For the plus option, you also receive access to two waterparks and 20 percent off food and beverage, among other perks. If splishing-and-splashing is more your family’s vibe, you can buy an annual pass to the waterparks for much less.
Water Park Tickets
Though the hopper pass does allow you to tour around the four wondrous kingdoms, it doesn’t include your admission to the two waterparks. However, you can buy a single ticket to enjoy wave pools, slides and more aqua-inspired afternoon adventures. Your Disney Travel agent can also help combine the cost of all tickets, giving you the easy-peasy direction to tour around, bop around and hop around as much as you’d like. Just don’t forget a change of clothes.
