The Proud Family To Return On Disney+ Says Tommy Davidson
So, The Proud Family is coming back – apparently, maybe, and hopefully.
Will The Proud Family Return?
On August 13, Tommy Davidson said as much in an interview:
#TommyDavidson revealed #ProudFamily is coming back. He revealed it will be on #DisneyPlus streaming app.https://t.co/ODqHwiKN0R pic.twitter.com/3bWCZcbW1m

I loved the interviewer on this; responding the way I would if someone told me I’d been given a million bucks. But I digress.
Davidson said:
“Proud Family [is] coming back,” he said, before realizing he may have spilled the beans too soon. “I mean, they told me not to tell nobody.”
Buzzfeed’s Terry Carter wrote:
If you were a kid (or tween) in the early 2000s, you definitely remember The Proud Family.
The show revolved around a black family living in the fictional town of Wizardville, California and starred my childhood crush Kyla Pratt and comedian Tommy Davidson as Penny Proud and Oscar Proud, respectively…
TBH, I’m not sure if Tommy was 100% serious about the reboot. Comedians are known to say things off the cuff. However, I’ve decided to take his words at face value.
Who Knows?
So, we’ll start that way, too. Assuming that many, many shows will again see the light of day on Disney+, The Proud Family seems a perfect candidate for new episodes (or a reboot).
However, keep it here on MickeyBlog.com for the full story if Disney gives official way either way.
