Today Marks The Start of Disney’s New Smoking Policy Along With Other Changes
Starting today (May 1st) Disney has made some important changes to their smoking policies that will have an impact on visitors heading to the parks in the weeks and months ahead. Let’s take a quick look at what these policies are exactly.
Smoking Policy
Beginning today May 1, 2019, guests will no longer find smoking areas inside of Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme parks. This includes Walt Disney World’s two Water Parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Disney Springs as well as Downtown Disney in California. For smokers, you will still find smoking areas outside of the main entrances to each of the theme parks. There will also be designated smoking areas outside of Disney Springs in Florida and at Disney Resort hotels.
Strollers
But that’s not all! Today also marks the start of a new stroller policy at Walt Disney World designed to eliminate larger more cumbersome strollers and the increasingly popular stroller wagons. Going forward strollers may not be any bigger than 52 inches long and 31 inches wide. Strollers not adhering to these size requirements will not be allowed in the theme parks. In addition, its worth noting that no wagons of any kind will be allowed into the park as of today!
Loose Ice
Though ice historically has been allowed into the park for those carrying coolers, that has also changed. Loose and dry ice are no longer permitted. However, those looking to keep food and beverages cold can still pack your coolers with reusable ice packs. Guests also have the option of visiting any quick service location for complimentary ice cups!

Although I understand that smoking is not a healthy thing to do there are a lot of people who do smoke cigarettes and although we may not be proud of the fact that we smoke cigarettes cutting us off from being able to go somewhere to do so it’s very hard and stressful on someone I feel like they should make an area just for people who have this issue so that they can also enjoy their day without having to be stressed out Disney World charges a lot of money for people to come and enjoy their day I feel like with some of that money they could make a designated smoking area for people who do smoke
