87,000 Disney-Themed Clothing Sets Recalled Due To High Lead Counts
Disney-themed children’s clothing sets are being recalled after it was discovered that the textile ink used to print the artwork had a lead count exceeding government guidelines. A piece appeared in PEOPLE saying that 87,000 sets needed to be pulled from the shelves.
According to the article, a toxic chemical was found on 9 different designs all distributed by the Bentex Group. You can check out the groups official Instagram post outlining the items below:

For those unfamiliar, Bentex Group items appear at the following retailers:
- TJ Maxx
- DD’s/Ross
- Burlington
- Army & Air Force Exchange Service
- Amazon.
The items in question are Disney-licenses products featuring characters. This includes clothing for boys, girls as well as newborn layettes.
So what should you do if you’ve purchased one of the items outlined in the Instagram post above? The brand has offered a full refund. If you aren’t sure, simply check the batch numbers on the clothing neck or side labels to determine if your item is subject to recall.
