Sneak Peek of How We’re Celebrating Disney Cast Life Around the World
Disney Cast Members are a huge part of what makes Disney, Disney. They are dedicated to bringing magical moments and experiences to guests who visit the Disney parks and Resorts from around the world.
This isn’t just a job, it’s their calling, their mission, their Disney Cast Life.
As Disney Ambassadors, they’re called to tell cast stories and highlight special moments that make up their life at Disney. From celebrations like Magic Backstage, The Walt Disney Legacy Awards, service anniversaries to opportunities such as Disney Aspire, business employee resource groups and Disney VoluntEARS, these are the key moments that make up Disney Cast Life. Stories that not only resonate with the cast but resonate within the company and beyond. From day one, the cast are not just a fan of the magic. They’re part of it. Creators of their own story.
Today marks a year since Disney began sharing stories on Disney Cast Life, a special section on Disney Parks Blog that celebrates everyone working worldwide to make dreams a reality. These stories exemplify why this isn’t just a job—it’s an experience that’s richly and personally theirs to create, with one-of-a-kind, only-at-Disney opportunities and privileges, chances to give back to their home communities, and boundless potential to grow and become almost anything they can imagine.
And that’s also why we are deeming this day Cast Life Day. A global celebration recognizing our cast, crew, Imagineers and employees and the dedication they bring to their role not just today, but every day. So, here’s to all our magic makers, wilderness explorers, incredible innovators and dreamers of all ages. We celebrate you and all the memorable moments you’ve made and to the many more to come. This is your #DisneyCastLife.

On Sunday, Sept. 11, at 4 p.m. you’ll be able to hear cast stories from working with Walt Disney himself and walking the grounds of Walt Disney World during construction with Disney Ambassador Alumni at The Walt Disney Archives Stage. Attend the Disney Parks Through the Decades: A Disney Ambassador Perspective panel where Disney Legend and Ambassador Julie Reihm Casaletto, 1966 Disney Ambassador Connie Swanson Lane and 1971 Walt Disney World Ambassador Debbie Dane Browne will share their very own cast life stories.
To get you even more excited about D23 Expo, be sure to stop by our Life at Disney booth Sept. 9 through 11, to talk to cast and get a taste of what your life at Disney could be.
