Snack with Cult Following: Cheeseburger Spring Rolls
Walt Disney World has some iconic snacks like the Mickey pretzel, the premium Mickey bar and the Dole Whip.
While these snacks have had their own merchandise, no snack has created the cult following quite like the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls…available at the snack cart at the entrance of Adventureland!
This unassuming cart opens at 10:00 and unlike other snack stands, once it’s out, it’s out! Perhaps the thrill of the hunt is how these greasy and delicious snacks started their climb to fandom.
What are they??
The cheeseburger spring rolls come in a set of 2 and are $9.50. Yes, that is a pretty steep price. They used to be $6.99 in 2020. We will say that if you eat these your stomach will be happy for a few hours! They are filling!
Cheeseburger spring rolls are seasoned ground beef, cheese, onions, ketchup, pickle, and mustard all mixed together, rolled into a spring roll wrap and then deep fried. Murica.
The end result is akin to a deep fried Bic Mac from McDonalds. Want to be a little extra? Ask for the side of creamy ranch sauce for some dipping action.
We love these rolls and when we see them we can’t resist! We highly recommend sharing the rolls with a friend.
At first bite they are wow, second bite delicious, third bite your heart is happy, fourth bite almost done, fifth bite stuffed. End of roll. This pattern being the case, that second roll never tastes as good as the first because you’re so full.
Other Rolls
Cheeseburger isn’t the only flavor available at the spring roll cart. In the past, cheeseburger was sold alongside Pizza. The idea of a deep fried pizza roll may sound great, but think about how pepperoni pools with grease when you cook a pizza.
Now think about if it’s wrapped up in a roll and that grease has nowhere to go. Yeah. Can’t dab that up with a paper towel.
Buffalo chicken has been available in the past, but is a total crap shoot if it will be available on a day that you’re in the Magic Kingdom. This spring roll is chicken tossed in a buffalo sauce with diced celery. This is good, but there’s a lot of room for improvement.
New for the 50th Anniversary is the 50th celebration spring roll. We’re happy to say that there’s no blue food coloring or EARidescent sprinkles here!
This lovely new addition goes way outside of Disney’s plain jane comfort zone with some intense flavors! The 50th Celebration Spring Roll is filled with pastrami and pepperjack cheese, and served with a mustard-based dipping sauce.
Final Thoughts
As fun as it is to see new flavors, we still stand with the mighty Cheeseburger Spring Rolls. Magic Kingdom is a park filled with sweet snacks, so this salty, greasy comfort food just really hits the spot.
