Disney+ Kenobi Series Adds Maya Erskine to Cast
PEN15 Star Erskine joins an ever-growing list of amazing actors set to appear in Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi….
I mean, the joke would be, “Who is NOT in Disney Plus’ Obi-Wan Kenobi series?”
However, the powerful cast list is seriously formidable.
Today, Maya Erskine joined Ewan McGregor (Kenobi), Hayden Christensen (Anakin/Vader), Joel Edgerton (Owen Lars), Bonnie Piesse (Beru Lars), Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
That was a mouthful.
Maya Joins The Crew
In an exclusive for Deadline, Andreas Wiseman posted:
Disney+ Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi is adding PEN15 star and co-creator Maya Erskine, we can reveal.
The Insecure and Scoob! [actor] will have a supporting role in at least three episodes, we hear. Erskine has been nominated for multiple WGA Awards and a 2019 Emmy for Hulu Original comedy PEN15, which she fronts with Anna Konkle…
Erskine, also known for Hulu series Casual, is due to star in the upcoming feature Sacramento with Michael Cera and Michael Angarano.
As late as this morning, we thought we had a pretty good read on what we needed to know going into the show.
Chow In The Driver’s Seat
However, with the addition of Erskine, it’s clear details will continue to spill out from production spaces throughout the shoot.
Deadline added:
Currently, in pre-production and due to shoot any day now, the series is directed by Deborah Chow, who directed two episodes of The Mandalorian, Season 1. It’ll consist of six-hour-long episodes.
