Disney World Now Offering Lightning Lane Pass Pamphlets to Resort Guests
In just two days, Walt Disney World will discontinue the Genie+ service and usher in the era of the new Lightning Lane passes.
Under the new system, guests will be able to purchase two different kinds of Lighting Lane passes. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass will largely replace the current Genie+ system, allowing guests to skip the standard queue and join the Lighting Lane line at up to three attractions at a time.
Unlike Genie+, however, guests will be able to make their selections prior to the day of their visit. They will no longer have to wake up at the crack of dawn to make their attraction selections.
The second new Lighting Lane option will be the Lightning Lane Single Pass. This pass will allow guests to skip the standard queue at up to two designated attractions per day. Once again, these selections can be made before guests arrive on their vacation.
Got all that?
Disney Is Now Passing Out Informational Pamphlets
Ahead of the arrival of the new Lightning Lane passes, Disney is doing their best to educate guests about the new system.
Currently, the company is giving informational pamphlets to guests staying at Walt Disney World Resorts. For example, they were available at the front desk at Saratoga Springs. At other Walt Disney World Resorts, including Disney’s Beach Club, they are even being placed in guest rooms.
As you can see, the new pamphlets give introductory information about the new Lightning Lane passes, noting that they will debut on July 24.
The front of the pamphlet discusses the differences between the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and the Lightning Lane Single Pass.
There is also a QR code that will take guests to Disney’s list of Lightning Lane attractions.
The flip side of the informational pamphlet explains how to purchase Lightning Lane passes.
It also informs guests when they can make their Lightning Lane selections. Once again, there is a QR code.
The New Lightning Lane Passes Will Debut July 24
With the new Lightning Lane passes debuting on July 24, guests will soon have to familiarize themselves with the new system.
It looks like Disney is doing everything it can to make the transition as painless as possible.
