Disney Introduces “Boarding Paused” Status to the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Virtual Queue as Technical Difficulties Plaque the Attraction
Since Annual Passholder previews of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure began last week at the Magic Kingdom, the attraction has been unreliable at best.
On both Thursday and Friday of last week, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was not operational when the Magic Kingdom opened, limiting the number of boarding groups that were able to experience the attraction.
As the Magic Kingdom’s newest ride has been plagued by technical difficulties and downtown, Passholders have grown frustrated with the virtual queue process and the lack of information that the My Disney Experience app relays about the attraction’s status.
In response to the increased downtime that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has experienced, a new status has been introduced in the attraction’s virtual queue.
The Virtual Queue Now Reads “Boarding Paused” During Downtimes
When Tiana’s Bayou Adventure breaks down, the virtual queue now says “Boarding Paused’. This lets Passholders know that the boarding group process has stopped.
Previously, the virtual queue would read “Not Boarding” both when the attraction was broken down or when the queue was closed.
While the change is minimal, it does relay more information to those in the virtual queue about what is happening. There will no longer be confusion about whether the attraction has broken down or if the virtual queue is simply unavailable.
Technical Difficulties Have Plaqued Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
With the grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure just a few weeks away, Disney is running out of time to work out the attraction’s kinks and prevent the extended downtimes that have plagued the ride during previews.
Hopefully, by the time that June 28 rolls around, the proper adjustments will be made, and the attraction will be more reliable.
