FIRST LOOK: Flavors of Florida Goodies Arrive at D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that Flavors of Florida- a celebration of Sunshine State cuisine has returned to Disney Springs for the Summer of 2023. We’ve been sampling some of the awesome goodies that have cropped up at Disney’s downtown shopping, dining and entertainment district and today our tour takes us to one of our favorite places to grab a sandwich at Disney World – D-Luxe Burger!
D-Luxe Burger is offering both a burger and a shake as part of Flavors of Florida and we had a chance to try both!
First up is the Orange Bird Shake!
This D-Luxe Burger Sweet Treat is made up of vanilla gelato blended with orange syrup.
The treat is then topped with whipped cream.
The Orange Bird Shake is supposed to come with orange and green sprinkles but ours didn’t.
We did get a white chocolate piece on top of our shake with an image of Orange Bird.
The Orange Bird shake at D-Luxe Burger retails for $7.50.
Overall, this treat gets a thumbs up from our MickeyBlogger Melissa! She said the shake was delicious especially on a hot day! Thankfully, the Orange Bird Shake wasn’t too heavy and the orange syrup brought just the right amount of citrus flavor without being overpowering.
Overall, the shake gets a big thumbs up from MickeyBlog!
We recommend that you pair the shake with the next Flavors of Florida treat, the Lime Garage Burger.
Named after the nearby parking area, the D-Luxe Burger features a pressed signature-blend patty.
The Lime Garage Burger is then topped with citrus pork belly.
Pepper Jack Cheese is added to the burger as well as an Avocado-Jalapeno Crema!
We’re not done! The Lime Garage Burger is also topped with fried green tomato, iceberg lettuce, and Parker House bun!
The Lime Garage Burger at D-Luxe Burger retails for $13.49.
Our MickeyBlogger Melissa said that the patty is cooked perfectly and is seasoned well.
She said that she was not a huge fan of the pork belly. The pork belly was very fatty and undercooked.
Melissa said that if the pork belly was a bit more crispy it would work better providing a much-needed bit of texture.
The avocado crema provides a nice kick to the burger and is essentially a light guacamole.
The fried green tomato adds a perfect finishing touch.
Melissa said that the roll was soft and fresh. Overall, we give D-Luxe Burger’s Lime Garage Burger a thumbs up. The pork belly was a bit of a downer but otherwise, the burger was delightful!
