Disney World and Disneyland Resorts are busy places, and I’m not just talking about the crowds — projects are almost always being worked on around the parks and resorts.

So, we’ve compiled a list of all the things in Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort that are under refurbishment! This is constantly being updated, so everything is up to date.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland is closed from now until May 3rd, 2026. Disney says it will “reopen with a little bit of new magic,” and we also have a new backstory coming to the ride, as well as the Rainbow Caverns! You can read more right here.

Tom Sawyer Island & Rivers of America
Tom Sawyer Island & the Rivers of America is now officially closed as the area is transformed into Piston Peak National Park, which will be themed to Pixar’s Cars. This means the Liberty Belle Riverboat is also permanently closed.
Pete’s Silly Sideshow
Pete’s Silly Sideshow is currently closed for refurbishment in Storybook Circus. We’ll let you know when it reopens!
Big Top Souvenirs
Big Top Souvenirs is closed for refurbishment in Storybook Circus and is expected to reopen later this year.
EPCOT
Refreshment Port
Refreshment Port is currently closed for refurbishment in EPCOT’s World Showcase and does not have a reopening date at this time. We will let you know when more information is released!

Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along
Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along temporarily closed for routine refurbishment on February 22nd, 2026. It will reopen on May 10th, 2026.

Impressions de France
Impressions de France is closed for routine refurbishment right now, and it will reopen on May 10th, 2026.
Animal Kingdom
DINOSAUR
DINOSAUR in DinoLand, U.S.A., closed on February 2nd, 2026, to be re-themed into an Indiana Jones attraction.

Restaurantosaurus also closed permanently on February 2nd, 2026, as part of the major re-theme of DinoLand into Tropical Americas.

TriceraTop Spin
TriceraTop Spin is officially closed forever in DinoLand U.S.A. to make way for the new Tropical Americas land taking over the area. R.I.P.

The rest of Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama! also closed, which includes Fossil Fun Games midway activities and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures store.
The Boneyard
The Boneyard play area permanently closed on September 2nd, 2025, as Disney makes more moves to re-theme DinoLand to Tropical Americas.
Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks
Both Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks are now permanently closed in DinoLand as Disney continues its transformation of the land.
Rafiki’s Planet Watch & Wildlife Express Train
Conservation Station, Affection Section, Animal Care at Conservation Station, and the Wildlife Express Train going to Rafiki’s Planet Watch are temporarily closed. This is to make way for the new Bluey adventure coming to the park this summer, so we expect it to be closed for a few months.

Hollywood Studios
Star Wars: Launch Bay
Star Wars: Launch Bay is being re-themed to a new animation experience at Hollywood Studios! It will be called The Magic of Disney Animation and open on May 26th, 2026 — read more about it right here.

Animation Courtyard & Disney Jr. Play and Dance!
Animation Courtyard & Disney Jr. Play and Dance! closed on September 25th, 2025, to make room for a reimagined courtyard and a new Disney Jr. show.

“Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” will debut on May 26th, 2026, with Mickey and Minnie and some of their best pals. This is the same show that they have over at Disneyland Resort in California.
Muppets Courtyard
The Muppets Courtyard is officially closed and being re-themed to a new Monsters, Inc. land. This includes all of the restaurants and the attraction in the land.

The new Monsters, Inc. land does not have an opening timeline yet.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is being re-themed to The Muppets! The ride closed for the re-theme on March 2nd, 2026, and will re-open on May 26th, 2026.

Disney World Transportation
Disney Skyliner
From January 24th through January 30th, 2027, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus service will be available during this time.
Disney World Activity Refurbishments
Lake Buena Vista Golf Course
Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is closing this summer for a renovation project and will be reopening in the fall.

Deluxe & Deluxe Villa Resorts
Disney’s Old Key West Resort
From now through late April 2026, the South Point Pool and Spa, BBQ area, and playground at Disney’s Old Key West Resort will be closed for routine maintenance.

Guests can still use the Sandcastle Pool or one of the resort’s other two leisure pools – the Turtle Pond Pool and Miller’s Road Pool.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
From mid-March through mid-September 2026, The Turf Club Bar & Grill and The Turf Club Lounge will be under refurbishment. During the refurbishment, some areas will be temporarily closed:
- The Turf Club Lounge: Closed from early April through early August 2026 (The Turf Club Bar & Grill will remain open with a pop-up bar serving a modified menu.)
- The Turf Club patio: Closed from early to mid-August 2026
- The Turf Club Bar & Grill: Closed from mid-August through mid-September 2026 (The Turf Club Lounge will remain open.)
Also note that the Senses Spa at Saratoga Springs is temporarily unavailable.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort
From January 11th through April 2027, the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn will be closed for routine maintenance. The Villas Pool and the Inn Pool will remain open for guests to enjoy.
Now through late 2026, refurbishment work will take place in select areas of the BoardWalk Inn. You may see or hear work during daytime hours, but most amenities (dining, recreation, and merchandise locations) will remain available.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
The guest rooms at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village have been undergoing refurbishment since October 2025 and will be until May 2026. Then, there will be a refurbishment at Jambo House from May 2026 to January 2027.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be receiving enhancements to select areas in phases, including the lobby and convention center, until mid-2026.
As part of this work, from mid-July through October 2026, Grand Floridian Cafe will temporarily close for a refresh. During this time, brunch will continue to be offered but will temporarily move to Cítricos.

You may see and hear construction during daytime hours, and portions of the lobby will be closed at times. All pools and most resort dining and other amenities will remain available. Guests should allow extra time for travel, as path adjustments may be in place.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
Construction is currently happening at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort through 2026. The resort is preparing for the proposed expansion of the resort and select portions of the already existing parts of the hotel are undergoing refurbishment.

You might hear and see construction work happening during the daytime hours, and the ongoing work could affect your views of Magic Kingdom and the surrounding areas from the resort. But noisy activities will begin no earlier than 9AM each day.
From May 11th through late June, the boat dock at Polynesian will undergo routine maintenance, and boat transportation will be suspended during this time.

Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace is currently closed for refurbishment at the Polynesian and should open sometime in late June.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower
Refurbishments will occur in select areas of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, including Bay Lake Tower, from now through late 2027. Please allow for extra travel time. Guests may also see and hear construction during their stay.
The Main Tower has been undergoing exterior maintenance since March 23rd, 2026. From now through late May 2026, exterior elevator landing repairs will take place at Bay Lake Tower.

Contemporary Resort construction
Then, from now through May 1st, 2026, the Skyway Bridge connecting Bay Lake Tower and the Contemporary Main Tower will be closed Monday–Friday, 9AM to 5PM, and will reopen daily after 5PM and remain available evenings and weekends.
Also, from January 26th, 2026, to early May 2026, the Bay Cove Pool, the water play area, and the whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower will be temporarily closed for maintenance. But the Bay Lake Pool, the feature pool, the water play area, and the whirlpool spa at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be open for guests to enjoy.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins
Exterior refurbishment work is currently happening at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and the Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge through late 2026. You might see and hear construction during daytime hours.

From April 13th through late July 2026, the boat dock at Wilderness Lodge will undergo routine maintenance. From April 13th through May 1st, the dock will be closed, and boat transportation will be temporarily suspended.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground
The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool area is currently under refurbishment from now through mid-2026 as Disney expands it to include a brand-new zero-entry pool and deck area alongside the existing pool. This will double the space for guests to enjoy!
The expansion will also include a tennis court and two pickleball courts. During this time, the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool will remain open.

Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will be undergoing visible exterior maintenance through late 2026. As part of this work, the porte cochere is currently closed.
Also, from now until early May, the Admiral leisure pool will be closed for routine maintenance.
Since February 23, 2026, the Crew’s Cup Lounge has been closed and is expected to reopen in May 2026. Additionally, Yachtsman Steakhouse will temporarily close for a refresh on May 11th, 2026, and is expected to reopen by August 2026.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort will also be undergoing visible exterior maintenance through 2027. As part of this work, the porte cochere is currently closed.
Also, from now through early May, the Tidal leisure pool will be closed for routine maintenance.
All services will remain available, as will most resort amenities. However, construction may be noticeable during daytime hours. This work may impact views from various locations throughout the resort, and at times, alternate paths of travel may be in place.
Moderate Resorts
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside
From early May 2025 through August 2027, guest rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside will be undergoing refurbishment. Guests may see or hear construction work in the area during daytime hours.

Value Resorts
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
From January 2026 until late April 2026, the Surfboard Bay Pool and the kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will be closed for maintenance. But guests can still enjoy the Grand Slam Leisure Pool at the resort.

All-Star Sports guests are also welcome to enjoy the other pools at the All-Star Resorts, including the Calypso Pool, Piano Pool, and kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, and the Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool, and kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort.
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
Beginning late May 2026, the rooms at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort will undergo planned refurbishment through the end of January 2027. During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area, and alternate paths of travel may be in place.
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
From April 13th through late April 2026, the kiddie pool deck at Pop Century will be closed for routine maintenance. During this time, the Hippy Dippy Pool will remain available; you might just hear work happening.
Disneyland Resort Refurbishments
Disneyland Hotels
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
A newly designed 2-story Club-Level Concierge lounge is currently under construction and will open sometime in 2026. It will celebrate classic California Craftsman design and draw inspiration from giant sequoias, continuing the forest theme in the Great Hall lobby below.
Disneyland Park
Jungle Cruise
Jungle Cruise is currently closed for refurbishment in Disneyland Park. It will reopen on April 24th!

Pirates of the Caribbean
Pirates of the Caribbean will close for refurbishment on May 4th, 2026. Disney has not revealed a reopening timeline yet.
Blue Bayou Restaurant
Blue Bayou Restaurant will close for refurbishment on May 4th, 2026, and is tentatively scheduled to reopen in late May.

The restaurant will offer a modified dining experience while Pirates of the Caribbean is also under refurbishment, as views will be obstructed. Guests may also hear some refurbishment noise.
Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin
Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin is closed for refurbishment in Disneyland Park right now. Disney has not released any information about when it will reopen.
