EPCOT’s first festival of the year is the Festival of the Arts, which celebrates all things art! We’re here to go over everything there is to know about this festival so you can have an amazing visit!

Dates

The 2025 Festival of the Arts lasts from January 17 to February 24, 2025.

Location & Hours

The Festival of the Arts takes place at EPCOT, and no additional ticket beyond general park admission is required. If you are an Annual Passholder or do not have a date-based ticket, you will also need to schedule a park reservation. 

EPCOT is generally open from 9AM to 9PM, with Early Theme Park Entry eligibility beginning at 8:30AM. Make sure you check EPCOT’s hours on a daily basis during your visit in the event of any changes to the schedule. 

Festival Passport

One of the first things you want to do at an EPCOT festival is collect the free festival passport, a full guide that includes everything there is to know about the festival. It also makes a great souvenir!

Inside the Festival Passport is information about the Food Studios (aka food booths), entertainment, merchandise, locations, and more. You can find it at food booths and various kiosks around EPCOT.

Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine

The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine is a food scavenger hunt — all you have to do is purchase five (out of a possible seven) qualifying dishes, collecting stamps for each one. You can get five different dishes, repeat dishes, or even get all five of the same item!

Stamps are collected inside your Festival Passport. Once you collect all five stamps, visit Deco Delights to get your prize.

Every EPCOT festival comes with a special collection of merchandise, typically including items such as ears, Loungefly backpacks, Spirit Jerseys, and more.

Figment’s Brush with the Masters

The official non-food scavenger hunt of the Festival of the Arts is Figment’s Brush with the Masters, which features our favorite purple dragon, Figment, hidden in pieces of famous artwork around the World Showcase.

You can purchase a gameboard/map and stickers for $9.99 at Creations Shop, Disney Traders, and World Traveler. Redeem your map for a prize whether you finish the scavenger hunt or not!

You also have the option to play without purchasing a gameboard — you just won’t qualify for a prize.

In 2025, you can choose one of three stencil sets as your prize! Each set comes with one character stencil plus a Spaceship Earth stencil. This year, the character options are Figment, Minnie, or Mickey.

Chalk Full of Character

Chalk Full of Character is a self-guided tour of Disney character chalk drawings hidden around EPCOT’s World Showcase. This game doesn’t have any official prize or gameboard — it’s just for fun!

Artwork & Entertainment

Festival of the Arts features a variety of arts-related entertainment, including the Paint by Numbers Mural, art displays around EPCOT, the Disney on Broadway Concert Series, Animation Academy, visual art performances, live music, chalk art, and more!

Paint by Numbers

The Paint by Numbers Mural is located in the Expression Section on the walkway between the World Showcase and the Imagination pavilion from 11AM to 5PM daily.

You get paint, a brush, and an assigned number, and then you can paint a few squares of the mural to help create a piece of art!

Animation Academy

Learn to draw a Disney character straight from an animator during Animation Academy. This takes place at the America Gardens Theatre at 12:30PM and 1:30PM daily. It’s free to experience!

Chalk Art

Kids can draw with chalk at the bridge to the World Showcase Plaza from 11AM to 5PM daily.

Artist Appearances

Artists make appearances for performances, signings, and demonstrations throughout the Festival of the Arts. Some of the artists you can see in 2025 include the following:

• Greg McCullough, who will do a live painting inspired by the festival logo
• Ann Shen and Ashley Taylor, who collaborated on vibrant companion pieces—an image of Anna and one of Elsa—for this year’s event 
• Josey Tsao, an artist and illustrator presenting delightful Disney artwork, including a Moana-themed design
• Darren Wilson, a Disney Cast Member and artist whose collection includes a piece that celebrates Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas 
• Larissa Brown, an artist who creates magical moments with bold, expressive colors
• Rob Kaz, an oil painter whose work was chosen for this year’s festival poster

Live musical performances can be found in the World Showcase Plaza daily. You can check the My Disney Experience app for showtimes!

Dining packages are also available to secure both a meal and guaranteed seating in the theater. Here’s how they break down:

Once Upon A Stage: 30 Years of Disney on Broadway

This year, guests will be able to explore costumes and props from Disney stage musicals such as The Lion King and Aladdin in CommuniCore Hall!

Spaceship Earth Shows

During the festival, catch a Figment-themed light show on Spaceship Earth!

Right after the Figment show, there is a special performance of “Rainbow Connection” from The Muppets.

The shows start when it gets dark outside and happen periodically throughout the night.
