Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a large resort with a lot to offer! Let’s take a look.

Location

Coronado Springs is located in the Animal Kingdom Resort area, but it’s really between Animal Kingdom and the Hollywood Studios and EPCOT areas. It also has a full convention center, so you might find yourself sharing your stay with business people that are there for a conference.

Theming

Coronado Springs’ theming is a blend of Spanish, Mexican, and Southwest American cultures! There are two different areas of the resort — the villages and Gran Destino Tower.

The villages features three distinct areas: the Ranchos, Casitos, and Cabanas. The whole resort is situated around a lake, Lago Dorado. So, you’ll get some lovely water views while staying there!

Since this is such a large resort, there is an internal bus system that will help you get around between the different areas.

Rooms

There are a bunch of different room options at Coronado Springs! You can stay in the village area or in Gran Destino Tower.

The village section has rooms that sleep from 2 to 8 people depending on if you get a regular room or a suite. They also come in standard locations or preferred locations, which will be closer to the main building (El Centro) and restaurants.

In the Gran Destino Tower, normal rooms sleep 2-4 people and have either resort or water views.

There are also rooms here at the club level, which will give you access to Concierge service at the Chronos Club. This includes secured key access to the club-level lounge, serving refreshments 7AM to 10PM daily.

At the club level, the rooms sleep 4 people and come in regular rooms, deluxe suites, one bedroom suites, and the presidential suites (which sleep 6 people).

Transportation

This resort relies completely on bus transportation! The buses will take you to all 4 Disney World theme parks as well as the water parks and Disney Springs.

Coronado Springs Bus Station

The main bus stop is located outside the main entrance of Gran Destino Tower, adjacent to El Centro. Then, there are three additional bus stops are located throughout the resort campus in Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas areas as part of the internal bus system.

Dining

Dahlia Lounge

Dahlia Lounge is a bar and lounge located in the Gran Destino Tower on the top floor where Toledo (the restaurant) is also located. It’s open for dinner hours into the late night and is inspired by Spanish surrealism!

Barcelona Lounge

Barcelona Lounge is in the lobby of the Gran Destino Tower! It’s open for breakfast in the morning and then becomes a bar and lounge in the afternoon into the evening.

It’s a day-to-night espresso bar and Spanish-style Gin and Tonic hub! You can see the full menu right here.

Siestas Cantina

Siestas Cantina is the pool bar at Coronado Springs, located near The Lost City of Cibola Pool. You can get a cocktail or some food here!

Laguna Bar

The Laguna Bar is a bar located on the lake at Coronado Springs and specializes in tequila and mezcal in handcrafted cocktails. It’s open from the late afternoon until late night!

El Mercado de Coronado

El Mercado de Coronado is the food court option at Coronado Springs located in El Centro, which is the main lobby of the resort (not in the Gran Destino Tower). It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has a little bit of everything!

Cafe Rix

Cafe Rix is also in El Centro and is a quick service spot that offers an assortment of pastries, yogurts, fruits, salads, coffee, and smoothies. It’s open for breakfast and lunch!

Maya Grill is a table service restaurant in El Centro that is themed to be a grand Mexican dining room featuring ancient-modern styling. You will also find some Nuevo Latino cuisines here and it’s only open for dinner.

Rix Sports Bar & Grill

Rix Sports Bar & Grill is a sports bar in El Centro that’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It features 31 TVs, so it’s a perfect place to watch the big game!

Three Bridges Bar & Grill is located in the middle of the lake, so it’s got an incredible atmosphere and is open-air! Enjoy some Spanish-American ambience and cuisine for dinner.

Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood

Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood is on the top floor of the Gran Destino Tower and offers up some great views, especially of the fireworks in Disney World! This is a tapas restaurant that also offers seafood and steak in a Spanish-style space inspired by surrealist art and the 1930s avant-garde.

Pools

There are several pools at Coronado Springs, but the main one is The Lost City of Cibola Pool at the Dig Site complex! It’s themed to look like a dig site of Mayan ruins and the centerpiece is a 50-foot pyramid that features a waterslide.

This complex also has the largest hot tub on Disney World property with room for 22 people.

In addition to the main pool, there are also three leisure pools in each settlement (the Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas).

Shopping

There is one store at Coronado Springs — Panchito’s Gifts and Sundries! It’s your typical Disney World hotel store with Disney merchandise as well as essentials you might need while on vacation.
