Full Guide to Character Dining at Disney World

Character Dining in Disney World

Character dining in Disney World is a great way for you to meet some of your favorite characters while enjoying a meal. Instead of standing in line to meet characters like you do in the parks, they will typically come around to your table while you’re dining.

Then, you can say hi, grab a picture, snag an autograph, and enjoy the interaction from the comfort of your table.

Character dining is very popular in Disney World, so it’s important to make your dining reservations in advance. Disney hotel guests can make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, plus the length of your stay, so mark your calendar! All other guests can book 60 days in advance.

And, make sure you come prepared with your autograph books and pens for characters to sign their autographs for you! But do note that not all dining experiences will have characters physically sign autographs — some will give you a pre-signed postcard at the end of your meal.

It’s important to note that character dining is available on the Disney Dining Plan! Depending on your budget, using Dining Plan credits can result in big savings, so keep that in mind when making your plans.
