Disney Shares the Best Times to Visit the Parks!
It can be overwhelming when planning a Walt Disney World vacation, and it often starts with one big question: When is the best time to go?
Disney recently shared its own recommendations, breaking down the best times to visit by price, crowds, seasonal events, and more. No single answer fits every family, but several things are worth considering.
Best Times to Save

Disney
According to Disney, summer includes many of the lowest-priced dates for theme park tickets, with some of the least expensive options appearing in August and September.
Travelers may also find savings by shifting vacation dates by a day or two, especially around major holidays. Longer stays can lower the average daily ticket price, while select resort and ticket promotions may offer additional savings.

Disney also recommends checking current special offers when planning a trip, as some eligible deals may be combined.

Less Crowds?

For guests hoping to encounter lighter crowds, Disney points to summer, early September, and the weeks leading up to the holidays.
Disney After Hours offers another great option. The separate- ticketed, limited-capacity events return to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2027 and feature shorter waits for select attractions. The events also include snacks and beverages.

Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts can also check for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on select dates.
Plan Around Your Favorite Disney Season

Seasonal events can play a major role in choosing when to visit.
Halloween festivities begin in late summer, with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party offered on select nights from August through October.
The holidays bring Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios..

EPCOT fans can also plan around the park’s four annual festivals:
• EPCOT International Festival of the Arts: January through February
• EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival: Spring
• EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival: Late summer through fall
• EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays: December
Each festival is included with regular EPCOT admission, although some experiences may require an additional purchase.
What About the Weather?

Disney shared that late winter and early spring, particularly January through March, offer generally comfortable conditions.
Late April and May combine warmer weather with the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, while late September into October brings fall festivities.

Summer comes with Florida heat and daily storms, but guests can take advantage of longer park hours and Disney’s water parks.
Disney Resort guests visiting during summer 2027 will also receive water park admission on their check-in day.
