Disney Dreamers Academy Begins a New Chapter
The Walt Disney Company has long partnered with local communities, making a positive impact and creating new opportunities for future generations.
Now, one of its leading organizations, the Disney Dreamers Academy, is entering a new chapter, expanding its reach through a collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs.

The new partnership will connect with more than 200 middle school Boys & Girls Club members in Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, and Houston.
What Is Disney Dreamers Academy?

Disney Dreamers Academy launched in 2008 to help young people explore their goals, develop skills, and learn about potential career paths. Since its debut, over 1,800 students from across the country have participated.
The newest expansion takes a different approach. Rather than focusing on a single experience, the year-round, multi-year pilot will combine virtual and in-person opportunities in students’ home communities and at Disney.
Participants will explore different careers, build skills and confidence, meet mentors, and develop their interests. The program will also include a visit to Walt Disney World.
Orlando Dreamers Kick Off the New Program

The first celebration took place at the Walt Disney World Clubhouse of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. Fifty local students officially began their Disney Dreamers journey.
Students posed for pics, smiled for cameras, and walked a purple carpet lined with community leaders and Disney VoluntEARS before taking part in Disney-inspired activity stations.

Activities included finding their own “Disney Dreamer Anthem” and personalizing Mickey ears. They were also joined by Mickey and Minnie.
“My favorite part of the night was when Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse came to celebrate with us,” Disney Dreamer Carlota shared. “I feel honored to be here. I’m very happy and excited for everything this program has to offer me.”
A Longtime Central Florida Partnership
The program continues Disney’s longstanding relationship with Boys & Girls Clubs. The organizations have previously worked together implementing after-school programming and the Club’s Rock Star Robotics Center.
Following the Orlando kickoff, Disney Dreamers Academy celebrations will continue in Miami, Atlanta, and Houston!
