What to Know Before You Go to Hurly-Burly at Disney’s BoardWalk
Have you heard? A brand-new waterfront lounge is coming to Disney’s BoardWalk, and Mickey Blog has a first look!
Hurly-Burly is bringing a fresh mix of dining and entertainment to Disney’s BoardWalk beginning October 1, but we attended a special media event that gave us a behind-the-scenes look. That means you get a sneak peek at all of the fun!

If you’re planning to check out the new venue this fall, there are a few things to know before you go.
Where Is Hurly-Burly?
Disney’s Boardwalk is already known for its timeless vibes and lively atmosphere.
If you’ve been lucky enough to visit this location, you have already been inspired by the boardwalks of Atlantic City and Coney Island.

Hurly-Burly continues this theme, taking over the former Jelly Rolls space.
Its theme draws on vintage seaside theaters and classic boardwalk entertainment, blending seamlessly into the surrounding resort area.
Background Story and Theming

Hurly-Burly literally translates to “tumultuous upward”. The phrase is inspired by an audience’s playful outburst, jumping into cheers and applause.
The theater was once home to the boardwalk’s most celebrated Vaudeville performers. At its peak, Polly Delmar was the resident headliner, bringing to life various dramatic performances and unique entertainment.

The theater was eventually forced to close, and many of its performers left their personal items behind, inspiring a future generation of dreamers and artists.
About 100 years later, the Hurly-Burly is once again opening its doors to fans around the world.

To capture this new look, Imagineers raised the floor to create one level, bringing fans and guests closer to the live entertainment and the stage.

They also refreshed the color palette with jewel tones and sea-inspired teals. Guests will see bright turquoise and coral contrasts.
Be sure to look around and take in the brass accents and other elements that create a refined, elevated vibe throughout the theater.

Adding to the dramatic effects are beautiful posters, props, and costumes from various performers of a bygone era.
Easter Eggs
Look for some fun hidden Easter eggs on your next visit, including Pearl, a Playful Puppet!

The playful puppet appeared in Mother Muriel’s act, “Mother Muriel and the Illustrious Pearl.” Muriel was a seasoned veteran ventriloquist who dazzled crowds with the puppet.
Keep looking and check out the Sign-In Sheet for Saturday, September 14, 1940 – the night of the Magician Showcase. Who is the only artist to sign in?

Finally, take a look at the backstage bulletin boards. It looks like there may be some notes and “drama” between Polly and the Siren Sisters.
Families Are Welcome During the Day
Disney has recently confirmed Hurly-Burly’s operating hours, and it isn’t exclusively an adults-only destination.

Guests of all ages can visit from 4 p.m.- 9 p.m. Families can also enjoy a live DJ hosting entertainment, including games and family-friendly trivia, while grabbing something to eat or drink.
Specialty mocktails and nonalcoholic beverages are available for guests of all ages.
Adult Fun and Entertainment
A walk-up bar opens at 11 a.m., and at 9 p.m., Hurly-Burly transitions into a 21-and-over venue.

The nighttime experience shifts toward live entertainment, with musical acts performing different genres and artists throughout the week.

An official band schedule hasn’t been released yet, but we do know some of the bands!

The menu includes everything from small bites to mocktails to cocktails and plenty in between. Check out some of the tasty bites and beverages we tried!

Indulge in Theater Concessions- a tasty trio of meatballs, sugar cookie, and buttered popcorn before sipping on a Caramel Corn Cold Brew or a Classic Amaretto Sour.

This new location has something for everyone.
No Theme Park Ticket Required

Since Hurly-Burly is located at Disney’s BoardWalk, you don’t need a Walt Disney World theme park ticket to visit. That makes this a great new spot for a resort day, arrival night, or an evening away from the parks.
