Atlantic Dance Hall Is Ceasing Regular Operations at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
The last couple of years have been a period of change at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort.
During this time, we have seen the Cake Bake Shop and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs open, Jellyrolls close, and the resort’s shops systematically refurbished.

Additionally, we saw BoardWalk announce refurbishments for the Luna Park Pool and Leaping Horse Libations.
The last time we checked in, Disney had announced the opening date for Hurly-Burly.

Now, we are back with another update!
Atlantic Dance Hall Is Ceasing Regular Operations
In what can only be described as a shocking development, Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort will cease its regular weekend operations on October 1.

For those who may not know, Atlantic Dance Hall has been a staple of Disney’s BoardWalk since the resort opened in 1996.
Inspired by the 20th-century dance halls of Atlantic City and Coney Island, architect Robert A.M. Stern designed the venue.

Initially, the venue leaned heavily into its retro theming and dancing. Over the years, however, it increasingly leaned into more contemporary music and culture.
While Atlantic Dance Hall cultivated a fanbase, especially after the closure of Pleasure Island, it has struggled with attendance in recent years.

In its final days, the venue was a popular place for convention guests to gather.
Now, its time as a public venue has ended.
The Venue Will Still Be Available For Rent
While Atlantic Dance Hall is ceasing its traditional operations, the venue will still be available for private events through Disney Meetings & Events and Disney Fairy Tale Weddings.
